Here’s a recent remake of a song I wrote a couple years ago… just wanted to add a little nod to “Oh Holy Night” in the instrumental passages…. Hope you enjoy it!

We spent the day at the Outlet mall
Spending all my pay
On sweaters, toys and dolls and all
For the kids on Christmas Day
I think I’ll get a used guitar
And give it to my son
At least if they don’t clip my card
Before the day is done
The kids still think I’m Santa Claus
At least that’s what they say
I’d better do my job because
It’s almost Christmas Day

Now it’s Christmas Eve around midnight
And the kids are finally down
But we still got lots to do tonight
Honey put the coffee on
Pull out all them packages
From where they’ve been squirreled away
Wrap ‘em up and label ‘em
For the kids on Christmas Day
Within a couple days the kids are bored
And they’ll put those toys away
The stuff that we could not afford
But it was fun on Christmas Day

I let my defenses down
Once or twice a year
And I love everyone around
When Christmas time is here
