Mood Swings by Electroman

Austin Inglett, AKA Electroman, was born in Orange, California in 1996. Electroman’s side projects include experimental electronic pop group Moon 2000 )with longtime friends Hayden Corwin and Garrison Murphy) and alternative-punk band Fighting Los Gatos. Now living in Dallas, TX, Electroman released “Stay Forever” as his debut single in 2016. In December 2017, he released his full-length album, Mood Swings.

“The album ‘Mood Swings’ started coming together when I began living on my own in my apartment in Dallas, TX while going to school at SMU. It was definitely a transitional time and I think you can probably hear some of that in the album. The song “Mood Swings” is the core of the album, as it is basically a reflection of my own mood swings I repeatedly experienced while adjusting to living on my own.”

“The Electroman project is my solo project that started taking off while I have been attending college, but it can be traced all the way back to 2011, when I was making music on my iPad using a variety of different music-making apps. Since then, I became addicted to taking the 15 years of classical piano-playing experience I have and applying it to my own music composition. My first “big break” was when I won a remixing contest for Rebecca Black’s recent song “The Great Divide.” Since then, I knew that I had something special brewing. The music I make is simple, but it’s part of the style. There is so much attention to detail and care put into each track, especially in “Mood Swings” and “Don’t You Worry.” I purposefully chose to move away from traditional dance music and steer more towards chillwave and synthpop, and it seems that it was the right move to make.”
