The supernatural-tinged video features Poole on a path to self-discovery and rebirth led by magic. “This is the story of personal transformation. My purpose is to climb this mountain and thrive as the artist I am embracing,” said Poole. “I am claiming my heart and soul by honoring what I came into this life to become.”

Oriel Poole’s vulnerability shines through tremendously in each scene of “Foothills,” beautifully captured and presented by director Ryan Lampert through images of a stripped-down woman navigating her rebirth with wide eyes. The concept of the video was co-written with Lampert, Poole and fellow artist, Ostara, who also portrays the High Priestess.

Accompanying Ryan Lampert’s talented eye, the video features HAH Couture’s extraordinary fashion and Ostara’s headdresses and adornments that compliment the storyline perfectly. The reawakening ritual that Poole’s character undergoes pairs with her mystical lyrics, “Start with the heart, let my dreams make the rules, let my soul shed the sound so sensual. Wrapped up in love, it’s a bond I can’t break. A path where only beauty awaits.” Invoking symbolism from the tarot and traditional belly dancing, the ritual is performed by the Serpent Dancers, Megan Somerville, and Samantha Blakenship who lead Poole to the High Priestess, where she is shown her true path.
