After writing and recording songs exclusively for himself in his bedroom for five years Rory Duffy, performing as Rory and the Reverie, decided it was time for someone else to hear his music.
Growing up in Middlesbrough, Rory first cut his teeth on the North East music circuit as lead singer of math-rock band Toyger, however since their disbandment in 2012 he has pursued a decidedly less raucous and more folk-inspired sound, albeit from behind closed doors. That all changed when in late 2018 Rory recorded his debut self-titled EP and, 6 months later, released it to the world.
Rory and the Reverie marries stripped back acoustic guitar and telecaster twangs with storytelling vocals about family, relationships and the reluctance of becoming an adult.
