Since forming in 2017, London based Plain Sails have exploded on to the live music circuit with their powerful and emotive brand of alternative rock. The deeply personal subject matter and cutting lyrics are balanced beautifully with piercing melodies and soaring, relentless moments in an energetic yet touching sound which draws upon a plethora of eclectic influences cut with a compelling current edge.

Their current & third single release of 2019 – “When the Firing Stops//When the War Is Won” – sees the band move more boldly, exploring new territory whilst retaining what has become their trademark big sound. Juxtaposed to the upbeat, summer vibe of the track, lyrically it’s an observation of the darker, destructive side of love and explores the cocktail of emotions experienced on the inside of a failing relationship.

“When the Firing Stops//When the War is Won” follows the success of 2019’s ‘Scars’ and ‘Made of Glass’ which garnered rave reviews from industry bloggers and online magazines, gaining airtime across numerous regional, online and international radio stations including BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and numerous US and Canadian based stations.
