Reggie Becton is a breath of fresh air, with a hint of something smooth lingering from the past that you truly miss when compared to the trap-infused R&B of today. The PG County Maryland native discovered the sounds of Marvin Gaye, Prince, and Brandy at the young age of 17 and since then has worked with and been mentored by musicians who have written and produced for some of the top voices in R&B, allowing him to craft a sound that is a unique fusion of classic R&B and new wave soul.

In October of 2018, Reggie released his debut EP ‘Phases’, a moody testament that quarrels with the traditional ideas of masculinity and a man dealing with the newfound emotions that come with finding love. Before releasing ‘Phases’, Reggie’s summer cover series garnered attention from R&B legends Dru Hill, Jodeci, and Marsha Ambrosius. Shortly after releasing ‘Phases’, Reggie joined UK R&B singer Daley at the legendary Troubadour on the Los Angeles stop of his sold-out ‘The Spectrum Unplugged Tour’. At the start of 2019, Reggie embarked on a promotional tour in support of ‘Phases’ performing at intimate venues, dive-bars, and music festivals in the Los Angeles area.

Most recently, Reggie released ‘My Beanie’s Orange’, a declarative, 5-Track EP, that infuses alternative R&B with 80’s soul and rock. The project’s lead single “Rainin’ In LA” garnered over 10,000 streams a month after its release and was featured on Ebro Darden’s Beats1 Apple Music radio show. During the fall of 2019, in collaboration with Sofar Sounds, Reggie embarked on an east coast tour ending with a sold-out headlining show in Washington DC.

Reggie’s music has been featured on digital publications such as Elevator Mag, Singersroom, DJBooth and many more. He has collaborated and partnered with brands like Fender, Steereo, YOU42, and COLORS R&B Only. Finally, Reggie has co-written with artists and newly signed talent at major labels like Atlantic Records and Warner Music.
