Known for her authenticity and self-proclaimed ‘non-bullshit’ lyricism, upcoming songwriter Maya Law has widened her set into an autobiographical blend of acoustic, neo-soul, and hip hop, referencing the likes of Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill.
The 2018 single Full Circle, Maya’s first release since the acclaimed mixtape Her or Him, has seen her earn radio play from 1xtra and Radio 6 Music, as well as shows alongside Connie Constance, Loyle Carner, and Andreya Triana. With features from The Line of Best Fit, EARMILK, and Somewhere Soul, Maya Law is breaking four years without a body of work.
Her debut EP Hitchhiking features MOBO grant awardee Freya Roy and is produced by Lavar Bullard (Akala, Natty, Pixx). Leading up to playing Live at Leeds, Hit the North, and Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here, Maya Law’s upcoming single release is sure to shine a light on what’s to come.
