The Drives are singer/guitarist Andrew Levin, producer/songwriter Casey Chen, and drummer Geo Botelho. Initially playing in rival bands in high school in Orange County, Levin and Chen began collaborating at the age of 16. In 2010, Levin moved to New York to attend NYU whereas Chen moved to Boston to attend Berklee.

During his time at Berklee, Chen met Botelho at a party. After finishing their respective studies, the trio decided to return to Los Angeles to pursue their musical careers. Levin and Chen decided to start The Drives in early 2017 and recruited Botelho later that year. The band quickly started garnering buzz across Southern California playing at local venues and releasing a series of singles. Their previous song “Keep Warm” was featured on Spotify Playlist Fresh Finds, KCRW, and reached #3 on Hype Machine Popular Charts. Several of their works have been played on KX 104.7 and have been even used for a Pizza Hut commercial. The trio currently record and produce everything out of their house in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
