“I’m Fine” is a bit of a response song to “bb u ok?” by San Holo. It was getting a lot of play in my headphones. I remember thinking what a neat thing it was, that people were using the song to check in on each other online while we’re all apart.
“I’m Fine” is also an expression of gratitude for the saintly and patient people we lean on, who get that words can fall short. Sometimes the best way to help is to simply sit together while the other is down so they don’t feel alone.
We’ve all seen a lot of tragedy lately. None of us can choose how long we have. We can tell the people that we appreciate that we love them though. We can be a light for someone else.
