RedLight: Marseille Rock Rebels Return with DIY Spirit on New Album

Born in the heart of Marseille’s underground scene, RedLight have been pushing boundaries since their formation in 2007. From the moment their debut album Crash System Control hit, the band established a sound that defied easy classification, a raw, high-octane blend of alternative rock, grunge energy, and electronic edge. Pulling influence from legends like Pearl Jam, The Beastie Boys, The Cure, and The Prodigy, RedLight have carved a style that’s as melodic as it is feral, a collision of attitude and emotion, guitars and groove.

Now, the French rock outfit are gearing up for the release of their new album, out March 14, 2025, marking a bold new chapter in their evolution. Recorded and mixed entirely in their home studio by guitarist Dapé, the record captures the band’s DIY ethos and unwavering commitment to creative freedom. It’s an album born from independence, a hands-on, heart-in project that channels the same rebellious spirit that first fuelled their sound nearly two decades ago.

With gritty riffs, infectious hooks, and that unmistakable Marseille fire, RedLight continue to prove that authentic rock isn’t about polish, it’s about passion. This upcoming release stands as a reminder that the DIY spirit is alive and thriving, and RedLight are leading the charge with unapologetic conviction.
