Paper Machine Music is the musical brainchild of Rob McKinlay formerly of Glasgow band Viva Stereo and features 10 tracks recorded partly at his home studio in Fort William and at Chem 19 in Glasgow.
Influenced by a bunch of albums from the 90’s and 00’s including Pavement, Spiritualized, Portishead, the Beta Band, Papa M and some young upstarts like Parquet Courts and Snapped Ankles. The album covers topics such as getting things right at the second or third time of trying, becoming comfortable in your own skin and having the courage of your convictions.
