Showing the artist’s melodic dream-pop, folk, and psych leanings, “A Loaded Mind” is a single off Galkin’s upcoming ‘Fanta’ EP.
The song is about the gentrification of many neighborhoods around Toronto, and is musically influenced by Galkin’s recent trip to Turkey and much of the
psychedelic music that came out of there during the early ’70s (Baris
Manco, Mogollar, Selda Bagcan, etc).
