He first got into record producing at the tender age of 8 years old when he would record himself and his little sister on cassette tapes rapping over the top songs at the time.
However, a short time after Kartel turned away from music and turned to the streets which lead to him pleading guilty in 2012 for robbery and firearm charges. Kartel $co is arguably one of the top unsigned artists of this generation because of his songwriting and vocal abilities to flawlessly combine this generation’s style of rap with witty lyricism from the golden age of rap while offering thug R&B vocals over Trap Soul beats earning him the moniker as the “Trap Barry White”
