j a b o b o comprises Manuel Miller and drummer Jack. They’ve played in several bands in Chicago together, and also busking outside Wrigley Field for drunk Cubs fans from 2016 to 2018. They find inspiration from acts like King Krule, High Club, and Mk.Gee. “That sort of slacker jazz chordy stuff really inspires me to make the dumb songs I make,” Miller says.

Miller says, about “walk through the snow”: “The song was written about someone I was dating at the time, you know how songs are, and i just wanted to talk about some of the real sorta grounded things you do for folk you’re into, sometimes the kinda things that are a little bit of a pain, like walking through the snow for a long time.”
