Candid is the third single of the same name debut EP of Munich based singer-songwriter Sophále.

The song is an honest and vulnerable take on the feeling of not being enough captured in a raw and minimalistic yet still hopeful song. After releasing her first singles in 2020 Sophále first gained recognition from regional media by Bayern 3, BR Puls as well as the Süddeutsche Zeitung. Her debut EP will be released this summer.

Munich based singer-songwriter Carina Gaschler, alias Sophále, started writing her first song on the guitar at the age of 14. Somewhere between introversion and extroversion, she discovered the therapeutic aspect of music, since it gave her a voice for the things she struggled to put into words.

After having her first singing experience with various solos in a choir she then decided to take classical singing lessons at the age of 15 and recorded covers, which she published on YouTube. In 2020 she started her solo project Sophále and began working exclusively on her own music, where she shows herself in all her facets, writing about relationship experiences, narcissism and feelings of anxiety.

Sophále combines lovingly produced electronic elements with catchy pop tunes, creating a very special, atmospheric mix based on the feeling of vulnerability that is intended to prove that pop can also be versatile. The modern and unique sound blends in a symbiotic way with her lyrics, telling a story.

In 2020 she released her first singles, which gained over 62.000 streams as well as recognition from regional media by Bayern 3, BR Puls as well as the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In the fall she debuted her first live show at the Sound of Munich Now Festival and was nominated for “Band of the year” by the Süddeutsche Zeitung. Sophále’s debut EP will be released in the summer of 2022.
