A vocal harmony expert and multi-instrumentalist, Pedro Rui Von is an awarded songwriter.

Former lead singer on folk-rock duo Devonts, he now kicks off a solo project with his debut single “First Thing In The Morning”. The song gives a glimpse of what’s to come in terms of sounds as it gathers influences from baroque pop, punk-rock and lo-fi.

With a sensitive perception of society and oneself, Pedro’s lyrics talk about both inner and outer concerns of our times, such as angst and inequality, but often in a sarcastic way.

The ability to combine such deep subjects with humour has been one of his main features as a lyricist. His single “Impressão Sua”, released with his former band Devonts, has been awarded three times in different national song festivals in Brazil and stood out for its bitter rhymes against police violence.
