Lecx Stacy Finds Beauty in Impermanence on “Winter, A Wilted Flower”

Los Angeles based artist Lecx Stacy crafts music like a memory, fragmented, intimate, and achingly human. A first generation Filipino American originally from San Diego, Stacy’s work blurs the lines between identity, grief, and sound, drawing equally from philosophy and emotion. His latest single, “Winter, A Wilted Flower,” captures that alchemy in full bloom, offering a haunting glimpse into his forthcoming album.

Raised in a home where karaoke nights and piano lessons were weekend rituals, Stacy was surrounded by music from the start. After the passing of his older brother, the person who first taught him how to make beats, the equipment he inherited became both a lifeline and a legacy. By 13, he was selling beats online; by 18, he’d begun transforming production into deeply personal storytelling.

That instinct for intimacy runs through “Winter, A Wilted Flower.” Written and recorded entirely by Stacy during a six month stint working long shifts at a behavioral health home on the outskirts of San Diego, the track embodies a kind of raw, lived in honesty. He recorded it in his parents’ house, with life literally bleeding into the mix. If you listen closely, you can hear his mother doing laundry in the background.

The result is a song that feels like a diary entry set to sound, fragile, melancholic, and steeped in quiet revelation. “Whispers / they tell me that you’re not the one winter / I waited for you, now you’re gone…” he sings, voice trembling between heartbreak and acceptance.

Across the new album, Stacy channels the solitude of that period into something vast and reflective. Drawing inspiration from his father’s stories of “folkhouses” in the Philippines, late night bars where men sang American folk songs after long shifts, he threads those memories through his own upbringing in Ramona, California. The result is a sound suspended between worlds, Americana infused with spectral echoes of Filipino ritual, merging emo folk, ambient noise, and glitchy folktronica into something entirely his own.

Live, Lecx Stacy transforms that introspection into communion. Having toured with Eartheater, Jean Dawson, and Sega Bodega, his performances are tense, devotional, and deeply emotional, an exploration of memory as distortion, where the past flickers and reshapes itself in real time.

More than a musician, Stacy is a philosopher in motion, an artist searching for transcendence in impermanence, exploring the fragile spaces between love, faith, and desire. “Winter, A Wilted Flower” is both elegy and renewal, a reminder that even in loss, something tender can still grow.
