There Is No Us Unleash “Fragments” A Ferocious Industrial Collaboration with 8mm
After a year of silence following their acclaimed self-titled debut, Phoenix-based industrial punk outfit There Is No Us roar back this Halloween with “Fragments”m their first (and only) new music of 2025. And true to form, they’re not pulling any punches.
Fronted by Jim Louvau, the award-winning rock photographer turned vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Andy Gerold (Marilyn Manson), There Is No Us have been carving a dark, confrontational path since their 2015 debut EP There Is No Humanity. Their mix of industrial grind, political bite, and punk ferocity has earned them praise from across the rock press.
“A fiery industrial-metal band.” — Revolver
“Jim Louvau really doesn’t give us any time to breathe… all tracks have their strong points with endless guitar solos and riffs.” — Heavymag.au
“Their live show truly is essential.” — Phoenix New Times
Now, “Fragments” takes that intensity to new extremes. It’s a thunderous collaboration with 8mm, the duo of Juliette Beaven and Sean Beaven — the latter a legendary producer known for his work with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and A Perfect Circle. Together, they’ve crafted what might be There Is No Us’s most vicious, visceral track to date — a collision of industrial menace, trip-hop seduction, and pure cathartic rage.
“We’ve been working with Sean for years,” Louvau explains. “Typically, any new music we release goes through him for feedback, whether it’s in the early stages or close to finished. So working directly with him and Juliette on a track just felt natural.”

But “Fragments” also pushes the band into unfamiliar territory. “This song touches on a trip-hop vibe that’s seductive and almost inviting thanks to Juliette’s voice,” Louvau continues. “Then, of course, we bring in our signature brand of aggression.”
The result is a sonic balancing act — beauty and brutality in equal measure — tailor-made to blow the cobwebs off your Halloween playlist. And if one song isn’t enough, There Is No Us will be headlining Hollywood’s Bar Sinister tomorrow, November 1, a venue that’s become something of a home base for the band’s explosive live shows.
“Some of our favorite shows have taken place there,” says Louvau. “If you’ve seen us play Bar Sinister, you know why. So don’t take off your Halloween makeup — come get FK’D.”
