Relationships, the ones that matter…
..are about as complex as it gets. The differences can come around like a stray bill to pay and I guess you have to figure out how and when you’re going to pay it and if it’s even worth the investment to push it to the head of the line, as if walking away is an option. Most the time it’s completely worth the investment just to get past it, but just taking some time and some distance gives you the opportunity to see with some clarity and selflessness. Hopefully they feel the same way.
This is definitely what I would call a ‘deep cut’ and was mighty surprised to find this has been played on a Canadian radio station, in all of it’s 7 minute and 42 second glory. Who knew? I just thought it was beautiful and a slow, gentle way to close out the album, using an ellipsis as opposed to an exclamation mark. Yeah, ok, it’s sort of blues but it’s a lot of other things as well..
