Chizi Ibemesi a 24-year-old British/Nigerian independent singer/songwriter from Leeds and currently based in London. Making pop music with influences from artists such as Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Banks, Marina/Marina and the diamonds, Dua Lipa and Ellie Goulding.
Writing songs since she was 13 and continues to do so to help express herself, her thoughts and feelings. Her song ‘Resisting’ which is her debut single, in her own words:
‘It’s about having an interest in someone that you also know secretly likes you back, but then gets you wondering why they are holding back and not doing anything about it; this message is prominent in the chorus as it is filled with bold statements that you would be thinking and would want to say to this particular person to get their attention and make them take action; which in this case scenario is something like acting on their feelings you know they have about you.”
A pop song, available to stream on all platforms including Spotify, Apple Music etc but. It was also produced by Half Crescent (Ben Mcconnachie).
