Home > New music > Personal failures, which we blame on ourselves

Comett is an alternative pop music project founded in 2005 by the multi-instrumentalist artist Alexandre Canola, originally from Tours, who after living successively in London and Dublin, has been based in Paris for more than 10 years.

After the great success of its last album “The Ghost inside me”, and after more than a million streams, Comett is back this spring with a folk ballad that might not have displeased the two brothers from Manchester.

“You’ve done everything right’ is about personal failures, which we blame on ourselves, even though they are out of our control. From a series of songs recorded during the lockdown, ‘You’ve done everything right’ can be understood as a musical tribute to the English band Oasis, of which Comett was a fan in his teens.
