A Cinematic Reimagining from the Orchestral Visionary

Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and longtime fiddle player for The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Molly Healey is back with an electrifying new release. Circles (ODM) marks the second of three singles waterfalling this fall, leading up to her full-length album With The Wind: An Orchestral Dance Music Suite, due out November 21, 2025.

The new single continues Healey’s bold foray into ODM — Orchestral Dance Music — a genre she coined to describe her fusion of cinematic string arrangements and modern electronic beats. Teaming up once again with Dave Tough of Belmont University, Healey transforms her orchestral looping compositions into rhythm-driven soundscapes that balance emotional depth with kinetic energy.

Originally released in 2019 on her album Circles, this reimagined version breathes new life into a fan favorite. The result is a sweeping, cinematic journey layered with lush strings, airy vocals, and pulse-driven percussion. It’s both ethereal and danceable, the kind of track that feels equally at home in a concert hall or on a late-night festival stage.

Critics are already praising the track’s unique sound and artistry.

“The vocals deliver the lyrics with elegance and strong presence, conveying emotion with artistic personality,” notes Indie Space Records.

Sunrise Coffee adds, “This song stands out beautifully and fresh — it feels very personal, fresh, and original.”

And according to Where the Music Meets, “The relatable and beautifully crafted lyrics, combined with Healey’s warm vocal timbre, create a wonderfully atmospheric and cinematic experience.”

Healey’s path as a solo artist began in 2015 when she picked up a looping pedal and discovered a new creative language. What started as intimate, layered string compositions evolved into a full-bodied orchestral-electronic sound that she now performs with her band, The Molly Healey String Project — featuring Zach Harrison (electric guitar), Kyle Day (bass), and Danny Carroll (drums). Together, they bring her genre-defying vision to life on stage.

Described by one fan as someone who “brings the orchestra to the rock show,” Healey’s live performances are a testament to her versatility, weaving cello, violin, guitar, and piano into lush sonic tapestries that blur the boundaries between folk, classical, and electronic dance music.

Over the years, she’s shared stages with Victor Wooten, Yonder Mountain String Band, and of course, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, while gracing festivals from Burning Man to Roots N Blues. Beyond the stage, she also co-organizes Earth Day: The Festival, supporting local environmental causes through music.

With Circles (ODM), Molly Healey continues to expand the horizons of modern orchestral music, inviting listeners into a world where emotion meets movement, and where every string vibrates with the pulse of human connection.
